What NOT to do During Your Divorce Case

If there’s one thing almost guaranteed to get you into trouble – one way or another – it’s blogging about your divorce case, or making posts in social media of any kind about your case. And that includes postings like those you might otherwise think routine. Simple posts about what you’re doing with your children can be troublesome – but if you, or your friends, post pictures of you having fun in a bar, whether drinking or not – or at a party, perhaps doing things that your friends might find normal – the lawyers on the other side will likely find them and use them against you.

That’s the primary reason that we advise every client that once divorce is on the way they make no Facebook posts, no tweets, no public commentary of any kind, even if the case hasn’t been filed yet.
